Meet Dr. Hudson
Dr. Hudson was born in Reno NV and raised in several small mining towns throughout the Northern Nevada area. He graduated from Battle Mountain High School and then moved to Reno for undergraduate studies. At the University of Nevada, Reno he completed his undergraduate major in 1991. After graduation, he worked as a Registered Nurse in Northern Nevada and California until attending medical school.
Dr Hudson attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998 and then left the great state of Nevada for his internship and residency. He was at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in 1998 for his Surgical Internship and from 1999 to 2003 for his Residency in Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. After completing his training and being awarded Chief Resident Teacher of the Year he returned to his hometown. He began private practice in June of 2003 with Timothy J. Dyches, MD.
He has been in solo practice up to this date. During this period, he served as a Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology for the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and the Surgical Department Chair for Renown South Meadows and the Division of Otolaryngology at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He returned for further Graduate School education at the University of Nevada School of Business for his Executive MBA from 2014 to 2016, and then immediately followed that with a Master’s in Healthcare Economics at the London School of Economics from 2016 to 2020.
Theresa Birchfield, PA-C
Theresa Birchfield, PA-C was born in Reno, NV and raised in the nearby community of Fallon NV. After graduating Churchill County High School, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Subsequently, she moved on to obtain a Master of Business Administration, also from the University of Nevada, Reno. She began working for Dr. Hudson in 2003, shortly after he returned to Reno from residency. As Dr. Hudson’s practice grew, so did Theresa. She has held every position within his office from the front desk to medical assistant, and she was the office manager when the University of Nevada announced the opening of a Physician Assistant Studies program.
She decided to change gears within her career and become a PA (Physician Assistant). She achieved her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2021.
